 As
we descended from Jebel Shams, we
stopped at Misfah, a picturesque town near the base of the Jebel
Akhdar. We saw few of the residents of the town, although we could
hear activity and even catch a glimpse of a TV through a
window. The date palms were lush, and it was the closest we came to
a working falaj in an active town.
It was quiet and peaceful, and a good place to collect ourselves
before the long drive back to Muscat.
